They should be half the price they are selling for and it hurts to use a credit for a 3 to 4 hour book. My only complaint about the series so far is that the books are very expensive for their short length. Putting his great performance together with a well written book is magic. He does an equally great job with male and female voices. His smooth expressive and distinctive voice makes the books extremely enjoyable. The narrator for these books is George Guidall, who is one of my favorite of all the narrators in the business. It is not lucky at all - it is evil and will kill Lewis unless he gets help. In this book Lewis is given a coin that is supposed to be a lucky talisman and he hopes it will help protect him from a bully that is making his life miserable. Lewis does tend to cry over much but he is still lovable. Having lost most of her magic in The Letter, The Witch and The Ring (1977), Florence Zimmerman travels back in time to recover it, taking along her friend Rose Rita Pottinger (14). They are all fully developed and likable characters. It seems only appropriate that death has not brought an end to Bellairs's career and, happily, this posthumous collaboration has less of a thrown-together feel than his last few books. The main characters are Uncle John, nephew Lewis, friend Mrs. This is the second book and it, as was the first book, is well written, interesting and has great character development. I just discovered this series and am so glad.
